Wobbi Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-10-08
Wobbi is a reading and math app for children aged 4 to 7, made by Pupik Studio. It is built so that we never receive information about you or your child. This policy explains what Wobbi keeps, where, and how to delete it.
The short version
- Wobbi has no accounts, no servers of ours, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking code.
- What your child does in Wobbi stays on the device where it's played.
- We never see your child's name, progress or anything else from the app, unless you send us a beta report from a test version.
- Purchases go through Apple. Links, settings and purchases sit behind a parental gate.
What Wobbi stores, and where
On your device, Wobbi keeps:
- Child profiles: a first name or nickname, an age, a picture chosen from Wobbi's animal avatars, and whether to focus on reading, math or both. Wobbi never asks for last names, photos, birthdays or contact details.
- Learning progress: which lessons were played and how they went, the stars earned, the words and facts being practised, and the animals collected in the Animal Clinic.
- Family settings: session length, region, sound and accessibility choices.
Wobbi doesn't copy this to other devices. Like any app's data, it is included in your device's own backups (iCloud or computer), which belong to you and which Pupik Studio cannot read.
Wobbi does not use the camera, the microphone, photos, contacts or location. It does not record your child's voice.
Information we collect
None, apart from beta reports a parent chooses to send from a test version (see Beta testing below). Nothing Wobbi stores is sent to Pupik Studio or to any third party, and Wobbi contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. It does not use the advertising identifier. The App Store privacy label for Wobbi is "Data Not Collected".
Beta testing
Families who test Wobbi before release use a test version through Apple's TestFlight. It differs in two ways:
- It keeps a few extra counts on the device: how often Today's path was started, which lessons were left before the end, and how often the grown-ups area was opened.
- The grown-ups area has "Send a beta report". It shows you the whole report first, then opens an email to us that you can read, edit and choose to send. The report lists children by age, never by name. It contains usage totals (days played, minutes, lessons, which lessons were hard), your Wobbi settings, the app version, the device model, and a random number that identifies the installation, not you.
If you send a report, we receive it as an email from your address. We use it only to improve Wobbi, never share it, and delete beta reports within 3 months after the beta ends, or sooner if you ask. TestFlight itself may send Apple crash reports and any feedback you submit through it, under Apple's terms. App Store versions of Wobbi have neither the counts nor the report.
Children's privacy
Wobbi is made for children and built to Apple's rules for the Kids Category. Because we collect no personal information from children, there is nothing for us to share, sell or use for advertising. Wobbi is designed with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code in mind.
- Parental gate. Purchases, links that leave the app, settings and the parent area all sit behind a task an adult can do and a young child can't, such as typing a number written in words.
- No paywall in front of your child. When your child reaches a locked lesson, Wobbi asks them to fetch a grown-up.
- No chat, no social features, no links out from the part of the app your child uses.
Purchases
Wobbi Plus is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles payment and your billing details; Wobbi only receives Apple's signed confirmation that a subscription or purchase is active. See Apple's privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Wobbi schedules them on your device for the parent: a short weekly summary of your children's progress, and a reminder 2 days before a free trial ends. They are created on the device; no push notification service is involved, and they never go to your child.
Ratings
Wobbi may ask the parent, in the parent area, to rate the app, using Apple's standard rating prompt. It never asks your child.
Seeing and deleting your family's information
Everything Wobbi keeps can be seen in the parent area, where you can also reset a child's progress or remove a child.
- To remove a child: open Grown-ups, then Children, then Remove.
- To delete everything from a device: delete the app.
Because we never receive any of this information, we have nothing to delete on our side. If you have questions, we're glad to help.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
